Event: 888-foot-long Art Banner to show in unique way Malaysians' support for the Beijing Olympic Games 2008.

A group of 400 artists expressed their love, solidarity and spirit on the cloth banner using Pelaka mural paint and the completed banner was presented to the Olympic committee in Beijing on 20 June 2008.

Event: Enviromental Public Relations Project with the theme “Jom Jaga Alam”

Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) - one of the leading institution in tropical forestry research.

In commemoration of the World Forestry Day celebration, final year Bachelor of Communications and Media Studies (Public Relations) students from UiTM Shah Alam collaborated with Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) to organize a programme known as ‘Jom Jaga Alam’. Held on 22 March 2008 in FRIM Auditorium, the launching and closing ceremony was performed by Dato’ Dr. Abdul Latif Mohmod, the Deputy Director General (Operations) of FRIM, representing Datuk Abdul Razak Mohd. Ali, Director General of FRIM.

The programme was held as an effort to educate and create awareness among school children to care and conserve the tropical forest, and to instill issues pertaining to awareness, development and conservation of the environment.

To support this programme, the organizer invited a total of 100 primary school children from three schools namely, SRK Putri Pandan 1, SRJKC Tsun Jin dan SRKT Kg Pandan.

In addition, several government agencies and non-government agencies such as Zoo Negara, Hai Kuang, Globalsoft (MSC) Bhd., Selangor Department of Environment, Federation of Consumers Associations (FOMCA), DIGI-CSR (Tasik Cini) and WWF Malaysia also participated in the programme.

Among activities held on the day were Green Clues, Art Attack, Picasso Time, Cari-cari, Kutip-kutip, tree climbing demonstration, visit to exhibition sites and High-5. Also present was Prof. Mohd Adnan Hashim, Dean of the Communications and Media Studies Faculty.

Event: Pact Max Interschool Art Competition

A total of 44 young artists, aged between 13 and 19 from nine schools and colleges participated in the 2-hour competition using single or mixed media on a 4ft x 8ft board with Abstract Art the theme.
